Welcome to the new site! I think the last time I had a personal website I built it in flash, and its been a long time since that was the cool thing to do. I don’t want to drone on about it, all I can ask is that hopefully the effort is obvious and more importantly the bugs/mistakes can stay hidden long enough for me to fix em!

How I built it

I’ve been learning to theme WordPress sites at work and while I’m still fairly clumsy with the PHP part I like learning it and trying to build a smart site, attempting to make the code do the work for me. I also wanted to experiment with interactive SVG graphics, and while I’m still working on making it lighter and as browser compatible as I can I’m excited with the outcome.

What to expect

I plan on using this site as a notepad for scratching down some ideas for development, sources for design inspiration, and exploration of things I don’t know enough about. Stay tuned for some more of what is hopefully relevant and interesting stuff, and by all means let me know what you think!

Whats next

Next month I plan on delving into how to make interactive svg graphics like the one on my home page! I’m excited about the possibilities and while I’m still trying to make it more performance friendly I figure I’ll throw my work flow out there and see if anyone has some suggestions to improve it! Can’t wait see you soon!
