Silverwood Lake

Silverwood Lake and the surrounding State Recreation Area (SRA) offer numerous recreational opportunities including hiking, swimming, camping, fishing, waterskiing and boating.

Nestled high in the San Bernardino National Forest east of Los Angeles, Silverwood Lake was formed in 1971 by the 249 foot high Cedar Springs Dam. It is situated at 3,350 feet, the highest elevation of any reservoir in the State Water Project. Silverwood Lake SRA is operated by the California Department of Parks and Recreation.
